At Path of Light Yoga, my mission is to empower individuals to tap into their strengths, as wells as to cultivate flexibility of body, mind, and spirit. We know that taking on healthy challenges deepens our resilience and builds stamina. My goal is to take what we foster on the mat, in our bodies and minds, with us as we face the challenges of life and interact with the world around us. I believe that we all have the power to care for ourselves and each other and that when we place our intention there, we create opportunities for healthy and healing relationships with ourselves, each other, and the natural world. At Path of Light Yoga, I believe that everyone already has an in inner light that guides them to walk closer to their authentic self and that when we let that light shine, it creates an illuminated path for those around us. I truly believe that each person's light is both unique and also part of the light that shines in every single one of us. Path of Light Yoga's mission, through mindful movement, is to support each other in illuminating the path within so that we might see how we are all connected.

Marcy is an RYT® 500 (500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher) with additional certifications in Accessible Yoga, Accessible Chair Yoga, Adaptive Yoga, and Sound Healing. She first discovered yoga as a way to balance her body, but quickly noticed the benefits of the practice in balancing her mind, and gradually came to know yoga as an effective way of connecting with her heart. Marcy believes yoga can be a tool to assist us on our individual and interconnected paths to discovering our highest and deepest Self. She believes the real work of yoga is done not on the mat, but out in the world. In her classes, she guides her students with their breath and movement to find a balance between effort and ease, between doing and being. She hopes that as her students focus their attention on the breath and the physical body, they will find a calming in the mind, and begin to hear the whisper of their hearts and the vibrations of the universe. Marcy has experience teaching yoga practitioners of all ages and abilities. When she isn’t on her mat, Marcy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking in the woods with her dog, reading, gardening, paddle boarding, creating pottery, teaching Preschool part time. She enjoys the reciprocal benefits of guiding yoga practitioners and makes it her intention to create a safe and supportive environment for all.
