This class is designed to modify the hatha-vinyasa yoga practice, using a variety of props, including chairs, blocks, bolsters, straps, blankets, and more. As we move and breathe together we increase flexibility, mobility, stability, and strength, while developing focus, stamina, and an inner calm. We use the ancient practice of yoga to facilitate a deeper connection to the self and an inner healing.
This class is for anyone who wants to experience the benefits of a yoga flow, including breath work and movement, in a safe, supportive, and accessible format. Accessible Chair Yoga is for every body. Start Start right where you, as you begin to cultivate your inner light.

In this class we will focus on deep stretching for the first half of class, creating space in the body by gently easing into each stretch and then holding for a number of breaths, activating and releasing the muscles. The second half of the class will be devoted to restorative practices, where we are guided into poses, using props and the breath to assist the body in recovery from stress, strain, and tension. The class concludes with the restorative Savasana pose.
This class is designed for both, those looking for release of tight muscles due to strength training, running, cycling, and other repetitive physical strains on the body, and those looking for release of tension in the body due to higher levels or mental and emotional stress. We can all benefit from releasing tension!

In this yoga practice we will bring the body, mind, and breath into balance with a mindful guided flow, through a traditional asana (posture) practice with a focus on building strength, stability, flexibility, and mobility. In additional to movement and held postures, we will work with the breath to focus the energy and mind. A flow class typically includes sun salutations, vinyasas, and traditional yoga poses held for 3-5 breaths. While this class is mat based, props, such as blocks, bolsters, straps, and blankets, are always welcome and encouraged. Through the practice of yoga, we begin meet our selves right where we are.The class begins with a bit of grounding, a light warm-up, a flow sequence, a cool-down, and Savasana. Find your flow and discover your inner light.

We can all use a little more light, a little more peace, a little more stability and focus in our thoughts. In a guided meditataion, we turn inward to cultivate the light within each of us. These mediations are designed for anyone, regardless of whether you are new to the practice or have been practicing for years.
Beginning with some gentle movement, we prepare the body for stillness. You will then be guided through a mediation in which you may experience a sense of calm and peace. Using the breath, focused attention, and guided imagery we connect with the essence of our being.
Don't let the fear of sitting in stillness steer you away from a meditation practice. The benefits of mediation can be accessible to all. You may choose a seated meditation on a cushion or chair, or a supine mediation on a yoga mat or blanket, with bolsters and blankets available for your comfort.
If you are interested in the activating and healing nature of the crystal sound bowls, and other sound healing instruments, we can weave them into your guided meditation, or you may choose to allow the sounds to be your guide.

FREE COMMUNITY CLASS
Held during the summer months, Yoga on the Farm is a Hatha-Vinyasa style yoga flow class, that includes all of the elements of a studio-based class, but is held in the open air on the grass at Joppa Hill Educational Farm. This is NOT a goat yoga class, although the goats would be happy for you to stop by and visit them. There may be cats, chickens, and other wildlife amongst us. The class is open to all ages and welcomes new and experienced practitioners. Variations on the poses will be offered to make the flow accessible to children and older folks. Each class will include grounding and centering, a gentle warm-up and stretch, a series of yoga poses, a cool-down and resting pose. We tap into our natural playfulness, imagination, and adaptability, as we flow with nature.
For the summer of 2026, this class will be held on Thursdays at 6PM, for 8 weeks, beginning June 18th and ending August 20. There will be NO CLASS on JULY 16th, 2026.
